Background: 100% Cotton (Dosooti). Embroidery: Crochet Hook (Aari), 100% Wool (2 Ply Thread). Measurements (Approximate) 52 – 53. Vertical Pattern Repeat: 42 inches. The bolt is in excellent condition, having been stored under wraps in a smoke-free home. Ideal for window coverings… Curtains, bedspreads or pillow covers. The quality of the linen/canvas would also support a light use slipcover or upholstery–though in general the wool crewelwork/embroidery may not stand up to heavy repeated use. It is 52″ – 53″ wide. Multicolor with a pattern of creeping flower vines & leaves with a warm winter white base, the colors included are a two shades forest green, two shades of muted maroon, two shades of dusty blue, two shades of ochre/gold and a brown. This fabric was brought over directly by my Kashmiri friend a couple of years ago from the region where he grew up in northwestern Kashmir. This is a HAND STITCHED bolt of crewel work fabric.
